INTRO MEETING

Every athlete starts the journey with a complimentary hour-long, one-on-one, private session with Coach Matt. In the first 30 minutes, you’ll learn about the gym and we’ll have a conversation about your current routine, sports and fitness history, any injuries or concerns, and, most importantly, your aspirations for the future. With this information, Coach Matt will begin to draft a roadmap of your goals.

The second half of the introduction is a physical assessment. Matt will lead you through a short series of workouts intended to assess your physical fitness. This will also allow you to see what a workout is like at Persistent Hunters and get a better sense of the typical structure of the classes.

DEFINING YOUR GOALS

Goal-setting is an essential element of the Persistent Hunters process. With the guidance of Coach Matt, you’ll set a specific goal and begin group classes with a plan to achieve it. We will use this plan to inform the custom pieces of the classes.

GROUP CLASSES

Workouts at Persistent Hunters are offered through group classes. The typical group class is 75 minutes and includes a thorough warm-up, strength and conditioning workout, and a cool-down and reflection period.

Every class will be different, but you can expect to regularly use barbells, rowing machines, running, resistance bands, pull-up bars, rings, and body weight movements.  The strength and conditioning workout consists of three parts:

  • A focused strength move or conditioning exercise
  • Lifting to develop strength
  • A short metabolic conditioning session and/or high intensity interval training

Each movement can be modified and adjusted to meet the athlete at their level.
